De-provisioning a Port Extender

To remove the provisioned configuration from a PE, follow one of the de-provisioning procedures in this
section.
To de-provision a PE that is online, shut down its cascade ports and then enter the no pe provision
pe-id command; for example:
Dell(conf)# interface range te 1/0 , te 1/12
Dell(conf-if-range-te-1/0,te-1/12)# shutdown
Dell(conf-if-range-te-1/0,te-1/12)# exit
Dell(conf)# no pe provision 10
To de-provision a PE that is offline, enter the no pe pe-id command; for example:
Dell(conf)# no pe 10
To de-provision all attached PEs, disable the extended-bridge feature on the parent C9010. All attached
PEs (online and offline) are brought down. All PE configurations are removed. For example:
Dell(conf)# no feature extended-bridge
This command will disable the Extended-Bridge feature which will bring down
all the PEs and remove all the PE configs.
Proceed with Extended-Bridge feature disable? [yes/no]:yes

Troubleshooting a Port Extender

Normally you manage a PE through the C9010 console attached to the parent C9010 switch. However, if a
port extender cannot connect to the C9010, use the following commands from a PE console to troubleshoot
the error condition.
