Recognize an Over-Temperature Condition

An alarm message is generated and displayed when an over-temperature condition on a system component
occurs. Either a minor or a major alarm is triggered.
When the minor temperature alarm condition is met on the linecard or RPM, the fan speed is increased
from 70% to 80%.
When the major temperature alarm condition is met on the linecard or RPM, the fan speed is increased
from 90% to 100%.
Over-temperature alarms are logged. Use the show alarms command to display the currently logged
alarms.
To display the pre-configured sensor thresholds, use the show alarms threshold command.
