7-2-2 Replacement of the protection glass

In case that any contamination that cannot be cleaned adhering to the protection glass of laser emission port or any
damage on the glass surface, replace the protection glass according to the following procedure.
„ Models of replacement parts

LP-ACV70 VL-W1500-N, VL-W1506-N
VL-W1A00-N, VL-W1A06-N
„ Replacement procedure
1.
Turn off the key switch of controller and
disconnect AC power cable.
2.
Lay the head of the laser welding machine
on its side.
3.
Using the detaching tool, detach the
protection glass by loosening and removing
the fitting.
When the protection glass fitting is removed, the
protection glass may suddenly fall out.
Please make sure to be ready to hold it with a soft
cloth.
4.
Replace the protection glass.
(There is no front or back for the protection glass.)
5.
Attach the protection glass fitting using the detaching tool.
Tighten the protection glass fitting with a torque of around 1 N·m.
Or tighten lightly until a resistance is felt. From that point, tighten about 4 mm (circumference).
• Do not tighten the protection glass with an extra force. It will lead to damages to the protection glass.
• Once the protection glass is removed, there is another glass inside. Do not remove this glass.
• Do not operate the laser welding machine without the protection glass on the laser emission port.
