Troubles
Laser processing cannot
be done.
(The laser emission
indicator blinks but
laser processing is not
performed on the object.)
Lasing is not performed
in RUN/REMOTE Mode.
(The laser emission
indicator does not light.)
Sometimes laser is
emitted unintentionally.
Causes
Obstacle hinders laser beam.
Distance to object is not appropriate.
Object is not in place.
Laser power is insufficient.
In RUN Mode:
The start button for RUN mode is not
activate or the lasing trigger is not
input.
The lasing trigger signal on the I/O
terminal is not input.
The lasing trigger is entered while the
trigger ready is OFF.
Fumes causes malfunction of
photoelectric sensor for lasing trigger
signal.

Measures
Remove obstacle between laser emission port of
laser welding machine head and object.
Adjust distance between bottom surface of laser
welding machine head and target surface of
object.
Check the lasing position using the guide laser if
the object is out of the specified position.
• Increase laser power (including correction
factor).
• Decrease scanning speed (including correction
factor).
Start the RUN Mode, and then input a signal to
TRIGGER IN on the I/O terminal.
Check connections with external equipment for
mis-connection, disconnection or contact failure
due to any loose connector.
Confirm that lasing trigger by one-shot signal of
more than 10 ms is input per lasing cycle.
Refer to "External Control" in Troubleshooting.
• Install a dust collector to eliminate the fume
(smoke) generated during lasing.
• Check that dust collector works well.
