Managed AP Coordinates

Use the Managed AP Coordinates page to manually specify where APs are physically located.
The following table shows the fields available on the Managed AP Coordinates page.
Field
Building Number
Floor Number
AP MAC Address
Measurement Units
X-Coordinate
Y-Coordinate
Command Buttons
The page includes the following buttons:
• Add— Adds the AP information defined in the fields to the selected building and floor.
• Delete— Removes the selected AP from the database.
• Delete All—Removes all APs configured in the database.
• Refresh—Updates the page with the latest information.

Description
Select the number that identifies the building where the AP is located.
Select the number that identifies the floor where the AP is located.
Identifies the MAC address of the AP
Specify whether the coordinate units are meters or feet.
Specify the X axis offset of the managed AP from some arbitrary 0,0 point on the
building floor. By convention the X axis is the horizontal axis.
The range is –3000 to 3000 feet or –1000 to 1000 meters.
Specify the Y axis offset of the managed AP from some arbitrary 0,0 point on the
building floor. By convention the Y axis is the vertical axis.
The range is –3000 to 3000 feet or –1000 to 1000 meters.
