1.2 Positioning the Terminal

The terminal must be positioned correctly before use.

The available languages of the user interface can be customized.
If multiple displays are connected to the output interfaces of the terminal, you can display
the user interface on any of the displays.
The user interface provides rich operation hints and statistics.
The maximum call bandwidth is 8 Mbit/s.
The HUAWEI 9000 supports Internet Protocol (IP), E1, 4E1, and public switched telephone
network (PSTN) networks.
The HUAWEI 9000 supports error concealment and lost packet recovery.
Video conference can be initiated over the H.323 protocol or the Session Initiation Protocol
(SIP), after the terminal is connected to a 3G network using a device connected to the high-
speed Universal Serial Bus (USB).
The HUAWEI 9000 supports H.235 and SRTP encryption with which calls can be
encrypted automatically without any external encryption device.
A conference control password can be set to protect the conference against unauthorized
control.
An administrator password can be set to protect the system settings against unauthorized
changes.
A serial port password can be set to protect the terminal against unauthorized serial
connections.
An upgrade password can be set to protect the terminal software version from unauthorized
changes.
