About This Chapter
This chapter describes the hardware connection to network devices and the settings on relevant
screens required when the terminal is used in different communication networks.
2.1 Installing an Interface Card
An E1 interface card provides interfaces for E1 lines; a 4E1 interface card provides interfaces
for 4E1 lines; a PSTN-E1 interface card provides interfaces for PSTN and E1 lines.
2.2 Inserting a 3G Data Card
To use the terminal for video communications over a 3G network, a 3G data card must be inserted
into a USB port of the terminal.
2.3 Using the Wizard
The Wizard helps you set the basic, camera, network, and power button parameters of the
terminal quickly and conveniently.
2.4 Setting General Parameters
Before using the terminal, you need to set certain general parameters, such as the site name,
system time, and call answering mode.
2.5 Configuring an IP LAN Network
The IP LAN parameters of the terminal must be set so that the terminal can communicate with
other network devices.
2.6 Configuring a Private E1- or 4E1-Line Network
The private-E1- or 4E1-line network parameters of the terminal must be set so that the terminal
can communicate with other network devices.
2.7 Configuring the 3G Network
3G network parameters must be set to hold video conferences over the 3G network.
