Upgrade Description:
– Upgrade with a hard disk:
i. System software is upgraded.
ii. Service verification succeeds.
iii. After the hard disk goes online, upgrade the log database on the web UI or
using the update log database command.
NOTICE
1. In V500R001C50/V500R001C60, the log and report functions are improved. After
the upgrade from V500R001C30 or earlier versions to V500R001C50 or later
versions, the data structure of the report database is changed. As a result, after the
database is upgraded through the web UI or using the update log database
command, only log data is reserved, and report data is discarded.
2. After the log database upgrade is complete, you can query historical log data but
cannot query historical report data (including traffic maps, threat maps, policy
matching analysis, and policy tuning), and system rollback is not supported.
3. After the system software upgrade is complete, manually upgrade logs after the
service verification succeeds.
4. The time and time zone after the system software upgrade must be correct.
Impact of switching the encoding format to UTF8.
V500R001C80 supports UTF8 encoding. Note the following points when switching the
encoding format:
– If there are online users during trancoding, the device is automatically restarted.
After the device restart is complete, the converted user information takes effect.
– Command lines do not support encoding format rollback. After the transcoding is
complete, the old configuration file and user database file are stored.
