The encoder scale is dirty or the drive
part is nearing the end of its life.
If you continue to use the printer, print
quality may deteriorate or the printer
may stop working. Clean with "Cleaning
the Maintenance Parts" - "Encoder Scale"
after printing is complete.
If this message is still displayed after
cleaning, contact Epson Support.

Troubleshooting

You Cannot Print (Bcause the Printer Does Not Work)

The printer does not turn on
Is the power cable plugged into the electrical outlet or the printer?

Make sure the power cable is securely plugged into the printer.
Is there any problem with the electrical outlet?
o
Make sure your outlet works by connecting the power cable for another electric product.

What to do
Error messages that are displayed for the following.
The power cable is not connected securely
An error that cannot be cleared occurs
When the print head has stopped on the suction cap
When a printer error occurs, the printer automatically stops printing.
Turn the printer off and on again. When turning the printer back on, turn it on
from the main power switch (Main Power) on the back of the printer.

If the error of the same number appears again, contact our qualified service
personnel. When doing so, be sure to tell us the "XXXXXXXX" (code number).
If the error message "0014CD" is displayed immediately after turning on the
machine, check that the air pressure is at the specified value.

If it is not at the specified value, adjust it and turn the device off and back on
again.
