Configuring GMRP for Specific Ethernet Ports
Description
Synopsis: Any combination of numbers valid for this parameter
The port number as seen on the front plate silkscreen of the
switch (or a list of ports, if aggregated in a port trunk).
Synopsis: { Disabled, Adv Only, Adv&Learn }
Default: Default: Disabled
Configures GMRP (GARP Multicast Registration Protocol) operation
on the port. There are several GMRP operation modes:
• DISABLED - the port is not capable of any GMRP processing.
• ADVERTISE ONLY - the port will declare all MCAST addresses
existing in the switch (configured or learned) but will not learn
any MCAST addresses.
• ADVERTISE & LEARN - the port will declare all MCAST Addresses
existing in the switch (configured or learned) and can
dynamically learn MCAST addresses.
