Step 1 Secure the RS485 signal SPD to the guide rail.

If the SmartLogger is to be installed on a guide rail, the RS485 signal SPD can share the
guide rail with the SmartLogger. In this case, the recommended guide rail length is 600
mm or greater.
Secure the guide rail before mounting the RS485 signal SPD.
