2. Connect the relay as shown in Figure 4–3: PHASE TO GROUND TEST CONNECTIONS on page 4–14 for
the appropriate phase under test.
3. Set the relay to test mode 15 (Any Zone 2 Ground). The LUI displays:

VA: 67 volts rms ∠0°,
VB: 67 volts rms ∠–120°,
VC: 67 volts rms ∠+120°.

6. Set the fault current to 4.6 (0.9) amps rms. Reduce the voltage of the faulted phase and check that the A1
contact closes when the voltage is within the limits in the table above.
7. Reduce the fault current to zero. Note that the trip target indication concurs with the fault. An AG fault is
displayed as
TRIP AG Z2 "DIST"
where "DIST" is the displayed target.
8. Repeat the test for BG and CG faults.
