Zeroizing Keys in
Target Devices

Note Key Groups may
contain undefined (i.e.,
empty) keys, If such a Key
Group is used to zeroize
a target device, all CKRs
(including any undefined
ones) will be zeroized in
the target device.

Use the
or
keys to select the Key
Group you wish to use to zeroize keys in
the target device. For example, if group
ALPHA1 contains keys with CKR 1, 2, 5,
and 15, then selecting group ALPHA1 will
zeroize (in the next step) CKR 1, 2, 5, and
15 in the target device. CKR 1, 2, 5, and
15 in the KVL 3000 will not be affected.

Use the
key to select ZERO. The
following screen will appear while the
keys are being zeroized.
GRP:ALPHA1
ZEROIZING...
7.
When finished, the following screen will
appear to confirm that the keys in the
target device that correspond to the keys
in the selected Key Group were zeroized.
Use the
key to select OK.

SUCCESSFULLY
OK
