Probable Cause and Remedy
1) An error occurred that caused
the KVL internal key database to be
come corrupted.
1) Respond to the FIX?" KVL
prompt by selecting YES to fix the
database. This will cause all keys,
Key Groups, and Store and Forward
messages to be erased.
Important! If you experience fre
quent database corruptions, power
the KVL down (do not fix database)
and contact the Motorola Service
Center.
1) You have exceeded the
KVL 3000's memory capacity (i.e.,
the KVL 3000 memory is full of keys
and/or Store and Forward mes
sages).
2) A hardware failure has occurred
in the KVL 3000 memory circuitry.
1) Delete obsolete keys and/or Key
Groups,
or
Connect with KMF and perform
upload to transfer all unit responses
(which in turn removes the corre
sponding Store and Forward mes
sages from KVL 3000 memory).
2) Contact Motorola Service Center
1) The KMFRSI (stored in the KVL)
does not match the RSI assigned in
the KMF for this KVL.
1) Coordinate with KMF operator to
ensure that the RSIs match.
1) An operation incompatible with
the target was attempted. See Table
1 on page 9-10 for allowed opera
tions.
1) You cannot perform disallowed
operations.
