3. ERROR INDICATIONS

This machine includes a self-diagnosis function. If the machine does not work normally it
judges that an error has occurred, and indicates the corresponding error message on the
LCD, which in turn helps the service personnel to quickly find out the problem.
3.1 Error Codes
Errors in shaded column do not usually occur during normal use. The possible causes are
noise around the installation site, fluctuation of the power supply voltage, and failures in the
software.

Communication error between the
0102 engine ASIC and motor driver or faulty
motor driver.
Cannot detect the synchronized signal
of the paper feed motor.
0201 The speed of the paper feed motor
does not stabilize within the specified
time.
0202 ―
0203 Eject motor failure was detected.
Cannot detect the lock signal of the
0300 polygon motor for the laser unit
(second time).
Cannot detect the lock signal of the
0305 polygon motor for the laser unit (first
time).
Cannot detect the synchronized signal
0401 of the polygon motor for the laser unit
(second time).

Cannot detect the synchronized signal
0405 of the polygon motor for the laser unit
(first time).
The center thermistor of the fuser unit
0501 has not reached the specified
temperature within the specified time.
The center thermistor of the fuser unit
has not reached the specified
0502 temperature within the specified time
after it was heated normally to the
certain level.
The center thermistor of the fuser unit
0503 detected a temperature higher than
the specified value.
