Additional protection
The 8000VA and 11000VA UPS units are designed such that in case of an unexpected
extreme power surge the UPS will take the hit. In that case an internal component will blow
and render the UPS defective. In that case no more power will be provided to the load thus
protecting the load from that power surge.
An additional safety mechanism prevents users from accidentally powering down the UPS unit
via its power button.
