7. F8 mode copier operation adjustment

Set the copier to service mode and press Multi-Copy key "8".
Press the Start key.
Select the desired code number with Multi-Copy key.
Press the Start key to initiate the adjustment procedure.
Press Clear and User Preset key to escape service mode.

Function
When replacing the exposure lamp.
Procedure:
a) Press the Start key to move the exposure lamp
to the position (approx. 450mm from the optics
home position) where it can be replaced.
b) To return the optical system to the home
position, press the Stop key."
a) Each time the Recall key is pressed, 30
machine error or paper jam codes stored in
memory are displayed, beginning with the
oldest code.
NOTE: Only the 30 most recent codes are
displayed.
a) Press the Reset key.
A Message "Error code can be cleared with
the Start key" is displayed on the LCD."
b) Press the Start key.
Press the Start key to move the mirror unit to the
locked position for transportation of the copier.
NOTE: The lock operation is automatically
reset when the Power switch is turned
ON again.
Machine error and Jam codes will be
cleared by this operation.
a) Press the Start key to automatically set the
gain voltage and judgment level of the toner
density sensor. (approximate time 2 minutes)
b) Following completion of the automatic
adjustment, check
F6-21
and
their values on the memory sheet.
This function automatically confirms the drum
surface voltage.
