System variables

Note
When the password variables are used, the password that is used appears in the logbook
during the package execution.
System variables - Up.$sysname
System variables are package variables that provide information on the package configuration
and runtime environment. System variables are identified by a name ("sysname") preceded
by a '$'.
System variables of the following type exist:
● Up.$Pack - System variables for the Package tab (Page 284)
● Up.$Dialog - System variables for the Dialogs tab (Page 286)
● Up.$Step[ID] - Steps tab (Page 297)
● UP.$Env - Environment variables (Page 305)

(Page 283) section.

Area data

Area data - $MN_?, ... , $MD_?, p?, $MM_?, ...
All variables/identifiers without the package prefix Up. are interpreted as area data. This
includes, for example, machine data, setting data, option data, tool data, drive data, display
data, and user data.
The area data can be written on the left side of an assignment and be read on the right side
of an assignment.
