You can choose between 3 deployment methods:

Axis-drive assignment

After the drives have been configured in SINAMICS, there is no assignment yet between the
NC axes and drives/drive objects (DOs).
The NC axes can be assigned to the drives in the following ways:
● Manually setting machine data using SINUMERIK Operate
● Calculating and assigning machine data in the manipulation task of a CMC package
● Configuration in Topo and execution by the CMC package, using user-specified or
comparison topology (*.utz/*.ust)
If an axis-drive assignment has been performed on a machine, Topo can perform a diagnosis
via an NC-DRV archive, i.e. represent the axis-drive assignment.
Configuring the axis-drive assignment using Topo, execution using the CMC package and
diagnostics using Topo are subsequently described.
6.8.1

Configuration

First of all, the topology must be available as a comparison or user-defined topology and DO
variables must be assigned to the components of the drive objects.
By way of the Topo menu bar Data >
and configuration of the axis-drive assignment is called.
The data are displayed that are relevant for configuration. Assignment of the machine data,
e.g. I/O address, will not be performed until during runtime of the package and cannot be
displayed at the time of configuration.
Activation "Yes" means that the axis-drive assignment is performed online while the package
is running. The precondition is that the axis-drive assignment must also have been activated
in Expert or during package execution on the "SINAMICS topology" dialog page.
By activation, with equal rights, of the Axis-drive assignment in Topo and Expert, there is a
guarantee that not only the expert for Expert, but also the expert for Topo will agree to this
assignment.
Moreover, it is possible for the project engineer for Expert and the operator during package
execution to deactivate this automatic Axis-drive assignment without having to open and edit
the topology files.

The extended user-specified topology is transferred directly to the controller. The
