Executing the package on the NCU from the network

Linux packages can also be executed from a network drive.
Procedure
1. Create an "sci.ini" file with the entry: "Start=//<domain>/<user>%<password>@<Server>/
<release>/<package name>.usz".
The specification of the domain is optional.
Example: Start=//wwprod/user%pass@192.168.100.2/Share/NCU_Pack.usz
2. Save this file in the "/<responsible>/system/etc" folder of the CompactFlash card.
<Responsible> can be "siemens", "addon", "oem" or "user".
3. Click on main switch "Off/On".
4. Follow the instructions of the package dialogs.
Note
The "sci.ini" file is deleted from the package as soon as it has been started. This will ensure
that a package is not unintentionally executed several times.

Package execution logbook

4.11.4.1

General information about the logbook

The logbook is automatically generated while the package is being executed. In the logbook
you can find detailed information about the package; all of the package actions are
documented.
The logbook is saved in HTML format in a file with the extension "htm" for an unprotected
logbook and in a file with the extension "exe" for a password-protected logbook. Both files are
displayed in your web browser, but the "exe" is only displayed after the correct password is
specified. The "exe" must be started for the display via "Execute" or a double-click.
