2.Copier-specific Adjustments
After selecting the Text mode, copy and check the copy image quality.
If further image quality adjustments are still necessary, perform the next procedure.
(5) Press [Basic] tab on the Control Panel in copy mode. Select [Text] from among the original mode
options.
• To have [Text] selected from among the original mode options by default, perform the following
setting.
Press [User Functions -User-] and select [Copy] in the [User] tab. Select [Text] in the "Original
Mode for Black" option.
After selecting the Text mode, copy and check the copy image quality.
If further image quality adjustments are still necessary, perform the next procedure.
(6) Select [05 ADJUSTMENT MODE] and change the setting values for the codes [7097], [7098] and
[7252] to adjust blurred or faint text and thin lines.

• Set the value in increments of approximately 1, while checking the copy image until the optimum
value is obtained.
<Note>
• Note that if a too small setting value is set, the life of the supplies may be shortened.
After increasing the copy density, copy and check the copy image quality.
