• The subcode varies according to the area where the density is adjusted. Refer to the table below
and set the subcode for the area to be adjusted. The density of the highlighted area will vary, if the
low or middle density area is mainly adjusted. Adjusting the subcode 2 allows you to adjust the
high density area. But it will not affect the highlighted area. Therefore, never change the value for
the high density area.

(5) By switching to the highlight reproducibility enhancement setting, the highlight can be adjusted by
changing the color reproducibility.
(a) Select [08 SETTING MODE] and change the setting value for the code [7614]. Usually, set "1"
(Text/Photo base).
(b) Select [05 ADJUSTMENT MODE] and change the setting value for the code [7690].

the entire color tone is altered against the default one.
 Caution after the adjustment
The adjustment may possibly provide an excessively dark background. Therefore, carefully perform the
adjustment, while checking the copy image.
 Remarks
Enter a value within the recommended value range mentioned in the procedures. Otherwise, it may
cause a loss in MFP performance, including degradation in the image quality and a reduction in the life of
the consumables.
