In addition to the encoder systems for the supply voltage range of 4.75 V to 5.25 V in the diagram
above, encoder systems are also available for the extended range down to 3.6 V. These are
generally operable using encoder system cables up to 30 m in length, provided that the total
cross-section of the supply plus Remote Sense wires does not fall below 0.14 mm².

Sensor Module External SME25

9.9.1

Description

Direct encoder systems outside the cabinet can be connected to the Sensor Module External
SME25. The SME25 evaluates these encoder systems and converts the calculated values to
DRIVE-CLiQ.
Following encoder systems are connectable to absolute encoders:
• Absolute encoder EnDat 2.1 (with SIN/COS incremental signals 1 Vpp)
• Absolute encoder EnDat 2.2 with order designation EnDat01 or EnDat02
