The ASUS DS300f G2 subsystem boots its
RAID controllers sequentially. With a second
controller installed, your subsystem takes
about a minute longer to boot. This condition is
normal.

If your ASUS DS300f G2 subsystem has SATA disk drives installed, you must install a SAS-to-SATA adapter on
each of the SATA drives.
Without the SAS-to-SATA adapter, SATA drives display a red X
Obtain SAS-to-SATA adapters from ASUS Storage Technology at http://www.ASUS Storage.com.
SAS drives do not require adapters.
