When [Perform motion detection with the camera] is selected, detection notifications from the camera
may be slower than the images. In this case, adjust the recording time before detection to match your
operational environment.

Depending on the settings of certain cameras, [Perform motion detection with this software] may not
be able to be used.
4.1.4 Alarm/Sensor Detection
Alarm/Sensor Detection Settings
Alarm/sensor detection can only be set on cameras connected to the network camera recorder software on
the same network (LAN).
Alarm/sensor detection can also be set for cameras set to [MPEG-4] or [H.264] data formats in the Image
Settings.
Cameras connected over the Internet cannot perform alarm/sensor detection.
Alarm/Sensor Detection
When alarm/sensor detection is configured for cameras with the network camera recorder software:
•
Use the camera's Panasonic alarm protocol notification.
•
When alarm/sensor detection is performed with [MPEG-4] or [H.264] images, 10 seconds or more are
needed before recording can start after detection.

•
Because the Destination of notification will become the IP address of the PC, set the IP address of the
PC to a static IP address.
•
For more information about the Panasonic alarm protocol notification function, see your network
camera user manual.

Detection notifications sent from the camera may arrive later than the images. In this case, adjust the
recording time before detection to match your operational environment.
Alarm Detection Pattern
3 detection patterns can be selected for cameras: [Rising: GND to Open (High)], [Falling: Open (High) to
GND], and [Rising and Falling]. The default is [Rising: GND to Open (High)].

•
Depending on the model of camera used, only [Rising: GND to Open (High)] detections may be
possible. See your camera's user manual for detection pattern specifications.
Sensor Detection sensitivity
When using Sensor Detection, configure the detection sensitivity in the camera's settings screen. Sensor
Detection will not function until the sensor sensitivity is set.
