2.5.5 Sensor Detection Recording
When the signal of a sensor that is attached to the camera is detected, sensor recording starts. Set the sensor
detection method for individual cameras (® Page 38).
Sensor recording only operates when the JPEG format is selected. If the MPEG-4 format is selected, change
the format to JPEG (®Page 28).

From the multi-monitoring window, select a camera for sensor detection recording.

A green frame is displayed around the selected camera.

You can set the camera to record a certain number of seconds before and after a sensor signal is
detected. The detection method that you have set may not be sufficient for sensor detection recording
depending on the resolution, image quality, the recording subject, and network environment. To ensure
proper operation, test the sensor recording.

If after-sensor detection recording and before-sensor detection recording overlap, a continuous image
is recorded.
Example: You have set images to be recorded 5 seconds before and after sensor detection.

2.5.6 Sound Detection Recording
Sound detection recording will begin when a sound is detected by the camera.
Set the recording time for sound detection recording for each camera. (® Page 40)
Sound detection recording can only be set up for cameras that connect in JPEG format.
If the MPEG-4/H.264 format is selected, change the format to JPEG. (® Page 28)
