8. S and T catchers removal
Remove the T and S catchers.
(Refer to step 8 in Section 4-5.)
9. Threading link assembly removal
Remove the threading link assembly.
(Refer to step 9 in Section 4-5.)
10. Slider removal
Remove the slider.
(Refer to step 10 in Section 4-5.)

Treat the removed slider gently and take care that
the guide and roller are not damaged or deformed.
11. Threading gear assembly removal
(1) Remove the link shaft's flange of the gear
assembly from the rail while expanding the rail
of the threading gear assembly to be replaced.
(2) Remove the precision screw, then remove
the rail and threading gear assembly from
the threading gear base assembly.
12. Cleaning and oil applying
(1) Clean the installation shaft of the removed
threading gear assembly with cleaning cloth
moistened with cleaning fluid.
(2) Apply oil of a 1/4 drop to the cleaned shaft.
13. Threading gear assembly installation
(1) Install the S gear (S), S threading gear
assembly, T threading gear assembly, drive
intermediate gear, and gear in the threading
gear base assembly while aligning them with
the mark shown in the figure.
(2) Fix the screws in the center of the S and T
rails tentatively.
(3) Pass the link shaft's flanges of the S and T
threading gear assemblies through the rail
while expanding the rail.

Ensure that the S threading gear assembly is
steady onto the threading gear base assembly.
If it is unsteady, the mesh of gear wheels of
the S gear (S) and S threading gear assembly
is easy to be out of phase.
14. Slider installation
(1) Pull out the link of the threading gear assembly.
(2) Install the slider using a new stop washer.
