Connecting an EXTERNAL CONSOLE to the MAIN CONSOLE for dimming control of already
installed loads and for control of DMX equipment
To connect an EXTERNAL CONSOLE to the MAIN CONSOLE, use the following procedure:
1)
Connecting a DMX cable to the MAIN CONSOLE
1.1) When connecting the DMX cable directly to the CONNECTION RACK
Connect the DMXOUT cables of the EXTERNAL CONSOLE to the 1 and 2 connectors of –CPU- on
the DMX TO of the CPU CABINET.
1.2) When connecting the DMX cable via the DMX connector at the studio floor
Connect the DMXOUT cable of the EXTERNAL CONSOLE to the DMX connector of the studio floor,
and then connect EXT-1 and EXT-2 of –EXTERNAL CONSOLE- on the DMX FROM to the 1 and 2
connectors of –CPU- on the DMX TO of the CPU CABINET.
