6. Disable system protection and restore settings.
→ In this equipment, it is set disabled in advance.
< NOTE >
・ If you enable the EWF, the used memory will continue to be accumulated
without released. For this reason, periodic restart of the equipment is
necessary.
・ If you enable the EWF, information that is changed by RAS software installed
in HF-W series and commercially available software is also discarded.
Enable EWF after the environment necessary for system operation is ready.
・ Since this equipment does not support hibernation, does not use the HORM
function of EWF. Also, features that operate only in RAM mode can not be
used. For unsupported features, see <Setting command>.
・ When the Windows error recovery processing screen is displayed during EWF
use and OS startup, you can suppress it by executing the following command
from the command prompt of administrator privilege.
"bcdedit.exe /set {current} bootstatuspolicy ignoreallfailures"
・ If volumes do not overlap, it is possible to use EWF and FBWF in coexistence.
・ In addition to the setting commands prepared by the standard, it is also
possible to implement an application for control using the EWF API (sample
code is also published). For details of API, refer to "EWF API (Standard 7
SP1)" by Microsoft Corporation.
