4. PRECAUTIONS REGARDING THE OS
<Example of use>
An example of using the "ewfmgr" command is shown below. Execute the command from a
command prompt started with administrator privileges. In the example below, drive C is protected.
● Enables EWF
Executes the "ewfmgr c: -enable" command and restart this equipment.
● When this equipment restart or shutdown, commit the data written in overlay to storage
Executes the "ewfmgr c: - commit" command.
● Disables EWF (alternative method of disable option)
Immediately after restarting this equipment, executes "ewfmgr c: - commitanddisable"
command and restart the system again.
(When the command is executed with the -live option, the second restart is unnecessary)
※ During system operation, restart this equipment before commitment so as not to
reflect the data written to the overlay as much as possible to the storage.
● When this equipment restart or shutdown, commit the data written in the overlay to the
storage and then Disable EWF
Executes the "ewfmgr c: - commitanddisable" command.
● While the system is running, EWF is invalidated (commit and immediate execution of
EWF invalidation) after committing the data written in the overlay to the storage
Executes the "ewfmgr c: - commitand disable – live" command.
