(3) Registry Filter
Registry Filter is a feature to reflect the writing to the specified registry for the EWF or
FBWF protected storage mentioned above. Registry filters allow you to preserve certain
registry keys and values when you restart the equipment without committing the overlay
when EWF or FBWF is enabled.
< NOTE >
・ When using registry filter with this equipment, you need to start the target
service. Please do the following.
1. Double-click the EnableRegFilter.reg file (DisableRegFilter.reg to stop the
service) under "C:\HITACHI\Settings\Filter".
2. The following message will be displayed. Click Yes.
3. A message indicating that it was successfully added is displayed, so click
OK and restart the equipment.
・ HKLM Set an arbitrary key below (set the key, not the value).
・ A predefined key exists, assuming participation in the domain and use of
Terminal Services Client Access License (TSCAL). For details, see <Example
of use>.
・ Do not turn off the power without shutting down the system by using EWF
when the registry filter is enabled. Writing to the registry may not be reflected.
