4. PRECAUTIONS REGARDING THE OS
(4) Keyboard Filter
The Keyboard Filter is a feature to block specific key input from the keyboard. In addition to
providing predefined lists of keys and key combinations (e.g. Ctrl + Alt + Del, Windows +
L etc.), you can also define your own custom keys.
After logging in with an account with administrator privileges, configure the keyboard filter
using the Local Group Policy Editor ("gpedit.msc" command).
For details on keyboard filter, refer to "Keyboard Filter Technical Reference (Standard 7
SP1)" by Microsoft Corporation.

< NOTE >
・ When using keyboard filter with this equipment, you need to start the target
service. Please do the following.
1. Double-click the EnableKeyboardFilter.reg file (DisableKeyboardFilter.reg to
stop the service) under "C:\HITACHI\Settings\Filter".
2. The following message will be displayed. Click Yes.
3. A message indicating that it was successfully added is displayed, so click
OK and restart the equipment.
・ A list of predefined key and key combinations is grouped by category.
・ Input from the screen keyboard can not be filtered. To restrict the use of
screen keyboard, please use AppLocker etc. function.
・ Since filtering is disabled on the secure desktop screen, you can log on to
Windows® without problems.
・ A custom key filter is defined by specifying the key or key combination to be
blocked, using the English virtual key name. Therefore, if you want to use
keyboard filters with keyboards and languages other than English, please
define a custom key filter using the
English key name defined in Microsoft's "Virtual Key Reference".
