The pair of keys is created individually for the appropriate SINAMICS drive interface. This
ensures that the address requested matches the SINAMICS drive reached during the
HTTPS access.
Note
Encrypted access to the SINAMICS drive is only possible with the interface identifier (name
or IP address) specified when the key was created.

Delivery state
A root certificate and a private key as a file on the device are supplied so that you can
access the drive via HTTPS in the SINAMICS delivery state.
During an HTTPS access using the supplied standard certificate, a warning is issued that the
certificate is unknown.
Validity period of the certificates
The default value for the validity is 30 years (~ infinite).
After expiration of the validity period, new valid certificates must be installed on all the
relevant drives.
