Program Upgrade (On-line)

You can download an upgrade program for the FTP server installed on a LAN onto the SV8300 as directed
by PCPro and upgrade the CPU program on-line. You may choose to use PCPro as a FTP server or con-
figure a separate FTP server for each unit. For information on specifying a FTP server, see "FTP Server".

SV8300 (Remote Unit)
This menu allows you to set a CPU program upgrade schedule, view results and verify the CPU program.

One of the following action will display the [Program Upgrade (On-line)] screen in the work window:
• Click submenu [Program Upgrade (On-line)] in Standard Mode.
• On the Main Menu, click [System] > [Maintenance] > [Program Upgrade (On-line)] in this order.
Tips: Firmware Program Upgrade
While line/trunk blade firmware is included as part of the CPU program, simply upgrading the
CPU program will not upgrade the firmware. To upgrade firmware, finish upgrading the CPU
program first and upgrade the firmware with CME8Y=0. For more details, refer to the "Firm-
ware Program Upgrade".
NOTE 1:
Establish a connection link with the SV8300 before executing Program Upgrade (On-line).
NOTE 2:
For the baud rate, see "Establishing a Link".
NOTE 3:
To use the FTP server facility of PCPro, keep PCPro running and keep FTP server starting.
