Kit contents
● Dell part number 6RYJ9 terminal block or equivalent (1)
● #6-32 nut equipped with lock washer (1)
Required tools
Wire-stripper pliers capable of removing insulation from size 10 AWG solid or stranded, insulated copper wire.
NOTE:
Use alpha wire part number 3080 or equivalent (65/30 stranding).
Required wires
● One UL 10 AWG, 2 m maximum (stranded) black wire [–(48–60) V DC].
● One UL 10 AWG, 2 m maximum (stranded) red wire (V DC return).
● One UL 10 AWG, 2 m maximum, green with a yellow stripe, stranded wire (safety ground).

Removing the NVDIMM-N battery

Prerequisites

CAUTION:
NVDIMM-N battery is not hot swappable. To prevent data loss and potential damage to your
system, ensure that your system, LEDs on system, LEDs on NVDIMM-N and LEDs on NVDIMM-N battery are
turned off before removing the NVDIMM-N battery.
CAUTION:
To avoid damage to the battery connector, you must firmly support the connector while installing
or removing a battery.
Steps
1. Disconnect the cables from the NVDIMM-N battery.
2. Using Phillips #2 screwdriver, loosen the retention screw that secures the battery to the system.
3. Holding the edges, slide the battery toward the back of the system until the battery disengages from the slot on the system.
4. Lift the battery away from the system.
