Removing the air shroud

Prerequisites
CAUTION:
Never operate your system with the air shroud removed. The system may get overheated quickly,
resulting in shutdown of the system and loss of data.

1. To remove the air shroud from a two processor configuration system, hold the shroud at both ends and lift it out of the
system.

2. To remove the air shroud from a four processor configuration system:
a. Remove the expansion card risers. See
b. Hook the expansion card riser on the side of the system by using the I/O riser handle on the expansion card riser.
CAUTION:
To avoid damage to the PCIe cables connected to the NVMe cards installed in the expansion
card riser, ensure that you hook the riser to the system using the I/O riser handle.
c. Hold the shroud at both ends and lift it away from the system.
