Installing NVDIMM-N battery

Prerequisites
1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in

CAUTION:
NVDIMM-N battery is not hot swappable. To prevent data loss and potential damage to your
system, ensure that your system, LEDs on system, LEDs on NVDIMM-N and LEDs on NVDIMM-N battery are
turned off before removing the NVDIMM-N battery.
CAUTION:
To avoid damage to the battery connector, you must firmly support the connector while installing
or removing a battery.
Steps
1. Place the NVDIMM-N battery on the NVDIMM slot on the system and slide the battery into place.
2. Using Phillips #2 screwdriver, tighten the retention screw to secure the battery to the system.
3. Reconnect the cables to the battery.
CAUTION:
Exercise care when installing the NVDIMM-N battery so that you do not cause any damage to the
intrusion switch cable.
