Registering Custom Paper Types from the Paper

You can register a custom paper type by duplicating the paper type

from the Paper Database screen.

This section describes how to select the paper type by entering a

specific paper number that can be obtained from the Specialty Media

Handling Guide.

If you try to register a paper type with the same name as a paper type that is

already registered, a message appears, and you cannot register the paper.

For more information on the Specialty Media Handling Guide, contact your

local authorized Canon dealer.

➞ [System Settings] ➞ [Paper Type Management

Press [Paper Database].

Press [Specify By Paper No.].

• You can sort the list by registration date ([Regist.]), name ([Name]), or basis

weight ([Weight]) from the Sort List by drop-down list.

• Detailed information for the selected paper can be displayed by pressing
