1=CMA.DIR, 2=CUS.DIR
CYCLE9960 provides a compensation file with the following name:
E996<TC_NAME>_<ChanNo>.SPF
Whereby, TC_NAME is the name of the active transformation and ChanNo the number of the
channel, e.g. E996HEAD_1.spf
If a compensation file is active before the start, it remains active. Before measuring, a check
is made as to whether the name of the compensation file matches the active transformation.

● Measuring and correcting interpolation points
An already available compensation file is automatically saved with the name
E996<TC_NAME>_OLD<n>_<ChanNo>.SPF.
Whereby, n is a consecutive number less than twelve. The advantage of an automatic
backup is that the old file can be activated again when an error occurs during measuring
or the result is not satisfactory. After measuring, the operator can write and activate the
compensation file through an operator acknowledgment (NC start).
● Measuring interpolation points only
With the remeasurement of the interpolation points, a new file is written which contains the
new measured compensation. The file is called E996>TC_NAME>_MEA<n>.SPF and is
written automatically after the measurement. The advantage of this file is that when the
operator is of the opinion that the new compensation through the remeasurement should
be used, the new compensation can be activated by simply changing the file name.

Measurement result display

The measurement result display is very similar to the log. The measuring variant, the active
transformation, the measured rotary axes and the associated measuring range are displayed
in the header. The measuring differences for each measurement are then displayed in the
Basic Coordinate System. The current and the new calculated correction element are
displayed for an estimation as to whether the measured kinematics should also be corrected.

Deactivate compile cycle "VCS Rotary"
Activation of the E996<TC_NAME>_<ChanNo>.SPF compensa‐
tion file. If only measuring was performed and this compensation
file (E996TC_NAME_MEA1.MPF) is to be activated, then this file
must be renamed as E996TC_NAME_1.MPF so that it can be acti‐
vated with CC_E996("TC_NAME").
Or the compensation file is renamed as
E996TC_NAME_MEA_1.MPF and activated wtih
CC_E996("TC_NAME_MEA"). This has the advantage that the old
compensation file is still available.
