Depending on the system (SINUMERIK solution line/powerline), the available user interface
(HMI sl/HMI Advanced/HMI Embedded) and the acquired options, external program
memories may be stored on the following data carriers:

NOTICE
• USB FlashDrives are not suitable as persistent memory media.
• USB FlashDrives cannot be recommended for "execution from external".
Reasons:
– USB FlashDrives can drop-out or contact problems can be encountered in
operation. The consequence – machining interruptions.
– USB FlashDrives can break-off when accidentally hit and damage the operator
panel front.
