15.1 2D code types
Choose from different 2D code types to encode your text data. Each 2D code type can
include a specified character set, a maximum number of characters and other specific
features.
QR Code, Micro QR Code
This 2D code supports the following characters and modes:
• "Numeric" mode:
0–9
• "Alphanumeric" mode:
0–9, A–Z, space character, symbols $ % * + - . / :
• "Byte" mode:
Any single-byte ASCII code from 00
(0–9, A–Z, a–z, symbols, control characters)
• "Kanji" mode (ISO/IEC 18004):
Any JIS code (JIS level 1 and JIS level 2) from 2121
(alphanumeric characters, symbols, Hiragana, Katakana, Kanji)
• "Kanji" mode (GB/T 18284):
Any GB 2312 code (GB 2312 level 1 and GB 2312 level 2) from A1A1
(alphanumeric characters, symbols, Simplified Chinese characters)
• "Auto" mode (ISO/IEC 18004):
Any single-byte ASCII code from 00
Any JIS code (JIS level 1 and JIS level 2) from 2121
(0–9, A–Z, a–z, symbols, control characters, Hiragana, Katakana, Kanji)
• "Auto" mode (GB/T 18284) :
Any single-byte ASCII code from 00
Any GB 2312 code (GB 2312 level 1 and GB 2312 level 2) from A1A1
(0–9, A–Z, a–z, symbols, control characters, Simplified Chinese characters)
Micro QR Code: "Kanji" (GB/T 18284) and "Auto" (GB/T 18284) mode are not available.
