27 Troubleshooting
A negative response is returned
Cause:
The control method is set to "I/O" in the "System settings".
Remedy:
To control laser pumping, the shutter, or the guide laser by
communication commands, select "Communication commands" for
the corresponding operation. A change of this setting will take effect
only after restarting the laser marking system. The setting is required
for the following commands:
The SPT command (laser radiation for measurement) is available
only if "Shutter control" is set to "Communication commands".
Cause:
Reception mode is OFF.
Remedy:
The setting request of most commands can only be transmitted if
reception mode is ON. Turn on reception mode with the Reception mode
(MKM) command. The following commands do not require the reception
mode:
File switching by number (FNO)
File switching by name (FNN)
Shutter control (SHT)
Reception mode (MKM)
Laser pumping (LSR)
Counter reset (CTR)
Marking trigger (MRK)
Character entry per trigger (SIN)
Marking offset and laser power correction per trigger (SEO)
For LP-400/V compatibility mode, different commands apply. For
details, refer to the "Serial Communication Command Guide: LP-400/V
compatible mode".
