Cause:
The laser type (wavelength, output power, etc.) is not appropriate for the
target material.
Remedy:
Laser wavelength and output power determine which target materials are
suitable for laser marking.
LP-GS, LP-RC: not suitable for metal materials
LP-RF, LP-RV: not suitable for transparent materials
MARKING LED is OFF and no marking is performed.
Cause:
In RUN mode: RUN mode is not active or the marking trigger signal is
not input.
Remedy:
Turn on RUN mode, and then input the marking trigger signal, either
from an external device connected to TRIGGER IN (X5) of the
TERMINAL connector or from Laser Marker NAVI smart.
Cause:
The marking trigger signal is not input at TRIGGER IN (X5).
Remedy:
Check the connections to external devices for faulty or loose
contacts.
Make sure that in each marking cycle, the TRIGGER IN (X5) signal is
a one-shot signal of more than 2ms.
Cause:
The marking trigger signal is input while the marking ready output is
OFF.
Remedy:
Refer to
Unintended laser radiation occurs
Cause:
Fumes cause malfunction of the photoelectric sensor which triggers the
marking process.
Remedy:
Install a dust collector to eliminate fumes (smoke) generated during the
marking and make sure the dust is properly collected.
