27 Troubleshooting
E668 Cause:
The marking data include characters that cannot be converted into bar
code.
Remedy:
Use characters which can be converted into bar code.
E669
Cause:
• The bar code cannot be generated with the current settings.
• The number of characters exceeds the upper limit of the selected bar
code.
Remedy:
Check the code settings and the number of characters.
E670 Cause:
The set narrow element or module width for bar codes is too small.
Remedy:
Specify a value which is larger than the value set for the calculation
value of the line width in the object group settings.
E671 Cause:
Bar code inversion was selected, but inversion of the quiet zone is
incorrect.
Remedy:
Correct the value for "Quiet/narrow ratio".
E672 Cause:
The settings for "Separator height to module width ratio" or "Lower
barcode height to module width ratio" are too small.
Remedy:
• Specify a value which is larger than the value set for the calculation
value of the line width in the object group settings.
• If you want to remove the separator, set 0 for "Separator height to
module width ratio".
E673
Cause:
The bar code cannot be generated due to an invalid number of
characters for EAN/UPC/JAN or GS1 DataBar code.
Remedy:
Enter the prescribed number of characters for the selected code.
