27 Troubleshooting
Small characters are not readable
Cause:
The settings or the fonts are inadequate for the character size.
Remedy:
Use the ORG2 or ORG5 font for small size characters.
Adjust the laser power or the scan speed.
Marking result is dotted
Cause:
LP-GS: The settings for laser frequency and scan speed are inadequate.
Remedy:
Decrease the scan speed or increase the laser frequency.
Cause:
LP-RF, LP-RV: The settings for laser pulse cycle and scan speed are
inadequate.
Remedy:
Decrease the scan speed or the laser pulse cycle.

On-the-fly marking (LP-RC, LP-RF, LP-RV)

Most problems with on-the-fly marking can be resolved by adjusting the trigger signals, the
workpiece position, or the line speed.
Marking is sometimes skipped (E750)
Cause:
The marking trigger signal is entered before the current marking process
is finished.
Remedy:
Select multiple trigger mode if you want to input trigger signals during
trigger processing.
Place the trigger sensor closer to the laser marking system and select
a smaller value for the trigger detecting position.
Reduce the marking time by increasing the scan speed, for example.
Reduce the feeder speed.
Increase the marking interval (interval between the objects on the
feeder).
