Set maintenance to be performed easily if needed, after starting an operation.
4.5.1

Setting up the ETERNUS2000 monitoring

This section explains how to setup the monitoring using SNMP Trap, by using "ServerView" of PRIM-
ERGY.
When another method is to be used, refer to the relevant manuals.
IMPORTANT
For details on events detected actually when ServerView monitors the ETERNUS2000, refer to
B Events detected by ServerView" (page173)

• The ServerView version must be V3.60L20 or later.
• For details on setting of the server (PRIMERGY), refer to
"ServerView User's Guide" supplied with PRIMERGY.
Setup of network on ETERNUS2000
For details on setting up network, refer to "ETERNUS2000 ETERNUSmgr User Guide -Settings/
Maintenance-".
1-1 Display the [Network Environment Settings] screen from the screen of setting/mainte-
nance program.
1-2 Set or check the following items in the screen.
• IP address and subnet mask of ETERNUS2000
• Gateway IP address and connected network IP address (when ETERNUS2000 and the
ServerView management device are on different subnetworks)
