This section describes how to install additional disk drives in the ETERNUS2000.

Position of disk drive slots
Do Not
• Do not install any disk drives that are not FUJITSU authorized, as they
may damage the device and/or cause fire or electrical shock.
• Do not damage or modify the internal cables or ETERNUS2000 when
installing the disk drives, as this may damage the device and/or cause
fire or electrical shock.
Do
• If additional disk drives are installed in a way other than by the methods
described herein, damage to the device and/or failure or electrical
shock may occur.
Do Not
• Do not install disk drives that are for use in other devices.
• Do not change the slot position (move) of any disk drive that has been
assigned RAID groups or volumes, or been set as a hot spare disk.
