4.2 Cable Connection
Fibre Channel cable connection procedure
The following explains how to connect the Fibre Channel cable.

When connecting the Fibre Channel cable, check the direction of the
Point
connector tab and insert it all the way in firmly.
When disconnecting the Fibre Channel cable, pull out the connector
while holding its tab.
Remove the connector cover of Fibre Channel port.
Remove the connector cover attached to the Fibre Channel port of the controller 0 (CM#0) or con-
troller 1 (CM#1).

Keep the removed connector cover in a safe place where they
IMPORTANT
will not be lost.
Connect the Fibre Channel cable to the ETERNUS2000.
Connect the Fibre Channel cable connectors to the Fibre Channel ports of the controller 0 (CM#0)
and controller 1 (CM#1) for the ETERNUS2000.
If any one of the Fibre Channel ports is to be used, it should be "0" on each CM.
