Do
• When moving a drive enclosure from a cold place, such as an un-condi-
tioned store house in winter, to a warmer place such as an air-condi-
ti on ed roo m , the seve re te mpe r atu r e ch an ge may resu lt i n
condensation forming.
To avoid this, allow the packed drive enclosures sufficient time in the
warmer place (one hour for each 10°C of temperature difference) to
adapt to the new temperature.
Do
• Use a conductive mat or wear an antistatic wrist strap as a static elec-
tricity countermeasure when handling the drive enclosure.
Do Not
• Do not handle the drive enclosure roughly or subject it to physical
shocks when laying it down.
• Do not stack the drive enclosures.
• Do not knock or drop the drive enclosure on hard objects.
