FIP Snooping allows the switch to monitor FCoE Initialization Protocol (FIP)
frames to gather discovery, initialization, and maintenance data. This data is used
to automatically configure ACLs that provide FCoE connections and data security.
The following table describes the port Fibre Channel over Ethernet Initialization
Protocol (FIP) Snooping configuration options.

Port FIP Snooping Options
Command Syntax and Usage
[no] fcoe fips port <port alias or number> enable
Enables or disables FIP Snooping on the port.
The default setting is enabled.
Command mode: Global configuration
fcoe fips port <port alias or number> fcfmode [auto|on|off]
Configures FCoE Forwarding (FCF) on the port, as follows:
on: Configures the port as a Fibre Channel Forwarding (FCF) port.
off: Configures the port as an FCoE node (ENode port).
auto: Automatically detect the configuration of the connected device, and
configure this port to match.
